Some cats (and indeed humans) are just larger than average, and some develop faster than average. Maybe he will stop growing a little earlier than most?

:-:  Aaaw, hope not  :(   I'm just hoping he'll  be a whopper when he's all grown up and think he just might be  :wow:

A Kitten's eyes usually start changing from a blue colour at around 6 weeks of age but looking at what his eyes look like in the photo I would of said a maximum of 8-9 weeks at the time of the photo.

It could be that he has Norwegian Forest or Maine Coon in him which is making him seem to be so big, plus he is now getting regular food and good care which will help a kitten flourish and they do seem to grow quickly if you imagine that when kittens are born they will actually fit in to a females hand.
It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all

Our Groucho is getting to be such a long big, fluffy, handsome lad and is only supposed to be coming up to 5 months old next week.  That is based on him being about 8 weeks in this pic per the vet.

D'ya think that's about right?  Hopefully you can see his eyes were still quite blue around the outside. He just seems such a big fella now (long) for only 5 months....
