I am so sorry to hear about Penny -also thought with her age she would get better.

I know the feeling as I was in the same position 7 weeks ago with Clapton. I'm sure it was the same for you, when you saw her, you knew what had to be done to take away her pain.

Oh Lau, this is tragic. I've been following your other thread and I really believed that because Penny was so young she had a good chance.

Take comfort in the fact that she wasn't ill for long. It's harder for us when it's quick because we don't have time to get used to them being sick, let alone passing on, but it's far better for them.

RIP Penny.

My darling Penny cat has gone to be with the angels. i was worried she wouldn't even realize i was there, but she was talking to me and even tried to stand up, but she was so weak she just managed to rock to one side a little bit. my mum said Pencat was smiling but i could barely see through my tears. she was in pain, i could see it in her face. my best friend needed me to let her go where she will never be in pain again. i stroked her head the way i always did and i talked to her about Lucie, who adores her and has missed her so much the past week. i told her how Man Cat was looking after me and how Lexie was driving us mad with her comfy dance on the sofa. i tried not to cry, hoping she would hear the love in my voice, not the sadness that made my voice waver. i fussed her head as she quietly slipped away. she had lost that spark a week ago, she was hurting so much she didn't even look like my Pencat any more.

sleep well my sweet princess Penny cat, you'll be missed so very much x
