He's back on form :Luv: It's funny how you think there's no difference apart from flinching etc and then you take them for treatment, meds kick in and you realise that actually they were a little bit lees than themselves :shy:

I've taken today off too though, it's the first time he's properly had something wrong with him and although it's relatively minor, i want to make sure my baby is ok :Luv2:

His new scratching tree should be here today so hopefully that will take his mind off being a bit lonely :) He tried to persaude Chilli to be friends with him again last night and got bopped on the head for his troubles :evillaugh:

poor Dave

At least he still has his tail and is going to be ok.  So annoying though when you know it's some bully of a cat that's done it.

Dave sounds like Misa and Sasa who will run, although I am sure Sasa has had at least one fight on the door step and she also got bitten.

They now guard the flap from inside and Misa watches from the kitchen window sill for any enemy! Think there is only one other cat about 6 doors up and they dont like her at all.

So sad he hanst got  his little friend to play with anymore.

Earlier in the year a young kitten cat came in through the flap and Misa had it climbing the walls he scared it so much. This so unMisa like but they now will not tollerate intruders in their house.

I had to go and stop Misa who is such a gentle boy, so the cat could get out.

There's several bullies round here Gill, on this occasion I had to go and rescue him because the cat had him pinned against the front door to the point he couldn't get through the cat flap. Some of them have been known to throw themselves against the door after him with a loud thud when Dave has managed to get through the cat flap quick enough. He's just not a fighter and would rather play with them all but they all have none of it. Feel quite sorry for my boy, he just wants a friend to play with :(

Aw bless him.   :Luv2:  Hope it heels quickly.  My Korky was a big boy (7 kilos at his heaviest) and he was a star at the vets too.  He even sat placidly on the consulting room table and let the vet remove plaque  from his teeth.  The only thing he ever kicked up about was having worming tablets - he hated them.

My arm is now a good foot longer, vet weighed him (he even sat nicely on the scales in reception for him!) and he's 6.45kg

Anyway, the vet asked what was wrong, told him it was a bite that had abscessed and burst overnight. Quick all over inspection then a good look at Dave's tail. Vet said, yep, you're right, that's exactly what it is ;D :evillaugh: He wanted to shave the area around the abscess to help it breathe and keep clean, so took him through to the surgery area and got a nurse to help him. He came back and said he was good as gold, not much grumbling and is a gentle giant :Luv:

So proud of my boy, he was an absolute star, even if he did cost me £63 and will cost me for a follow up consult next week too!

Here's his poorly, baldy tail
