They certainly seem to have made themselves at home  :) and lovely to see pics of a successful re-homing.

I realised that I hadn't updated this thread for a while sorry folks.

Star & Orion finally left the harbour to head to a new home on Sunday the 26th September and after just a few days in their new home the attached pic shows how well they are doing.

Their new family are lovely and are very accepting of both of their health issues and love them just as they are :Luv2:

This pic really made me smile and I really wanted to share it with you all so have their new parents permission... so here goes....

Stars nose has cleared up well with steroids and Orions tummy is finally under control.

Orion will be going under sedation tomorrow to have his mouth properly checked and his teeth sorted.  1 that we know of will need to come out.

Just hope he does OK poor lad - always feel so bad putting them through anything as they always look so forlorn!

Hi guys just a wee update on this lovely duo for you.

Star is feeling much better, eating well but still continues to have a runny nose so do wonder if there is a sinus issue.  Other than that she seems happy enough.

Orion however is another matter entirely.  After a bath on Friday he did start to groom himself again but this was short lived. He continues to sit with his tongue out although he does eat well.  His tummy however is getting worse especially over the weekend where it has been terrible.  He will see the vet in the morning and I just hope that we can get to the root of the problem as he looks so miserable.

Poor boy will have to endure another bath today as he is in such a mess - hate having to do it but no other choice to stop him from getting sore.  :'( :'(

We really feel for these 2 as they have been through SO much already - surely they deserve some rest and a happy healthy life???  :(

We will do what we can for this pair and continue to give them love and cuddles - will update more once we have seen the vet tomorrow.

apologies for the lack of updates this last couple of weeks guys - as I'm sure Lottie will concur we are VERY full at the moment and we can't thank Lottie enough for her generosity and for bringing food, litter and lots of bedding for the little ones.

every weekend is consumed with fundraising this month so never a dull moment.

Star and Orion are doing much better. Both are much happier in themselves and now that star has had her back shaved she is much happier too now that the huge matt has gone.  We waited until health wise they were brighter but as we thought the stress of shaving has flared her eyes up a tad but are now settling back down again.

Orion on the other hand was VERY dirty, matted and generally looked very low.  He has started to perk up in himself however we had to make the decision to bath the wee lad.  Now bathed and most of this matts gone he looks white again and is definitely feeling better though was most unimpressed by the indignity of bathing!

We still have concerns re Orion and now that they are more settled and stress levels lowering it is now clear to see their sweet natures coming through.  These wee kitts have been through SO much and deserve SO much better.

Promise to get update pics soon :)

They are gorgeous, and I never fail to be suprised at how resilient cats are. Thier Mum loved them, they are used to some love, in a reasonable environment, they will come on in leaps and bounds. Thank God you have been able to give them that opportunity. Well done you! :) :) :)

Poor babies.  I'm sure they will recover well with lots of tlc.

Our 2 dom violence cats, Gwen and Gilly, are doing very well although they were very traumatised to begin with.  Our homeopathic vet prescribed a 5 day course of Stramonium to release some of the trauma and I don't know if that helped or not but they have come on in leaps and bounds.

that's good news  :)

hope your two come on well.

Orion is coming round much quicker than his sister though they did say that she is a bit more timid generally anyways.  She also seems to have a case of the snuffles which he also had but his have cleared up with a/b's over couple of days so she is currently on a/b's too.

The boy was a relatively easy catch. They managed to get him but with no cat box they turned up with him loose in the car and he had taken to hiding under the passenger seat.  Unfortunately us being on a busy main road didn't help but I managed to fish him out - rather ungracefully - and into a  cat carrier and into the house.

Star the girl (left) she took a bit more catching and was a day and a half later in coming in - thankfully this time I lent them a carrier! lol

Very sweet little pair am sure they will come round in their own good time and we can get them into a safe loving home.  :Luv2:
