Thanks Michelle

We defo want 2 cats. Alex was keen on getting kittens but I said there's plenty of adult cats that need homes, and thankfully he has agreed with me  :evillaugh:

We've got to decide how to go about it, meet the cats and see which ones are suitable for us! I am excited but at the same time very sad, cuz it will be like Possum never existed!  :(

Hayley,
I am quite sure Possum would want you to get another furbaby, infact I'm pretty sure she will have a hand in finding you the right one  ;)

Don't ever look at it as "replacing"...look at it as giving another cat the chance of having the wonderful life that Possum had.

Good luck .... there a very lucky cat (or cats hehe) out there somewhere

Possum would know she was irreplaceable to you both, Hayley - you don't have to worry on that count. :care:

To my dearest Possum

I wanted to make peace with something - daddy & I are missing having you around so much. The house is so empty without you. We have been talking about getting some more furbabies but wanted you to know that we are NOT replacing you, nor are we FORGETTING you!!

Hope you're not going to be upset with us, you left such a gaping hole that in order to be happy we need to try and fill it.

You will always be our special baby girl..no puddy tat will ever take your crown.

Much love, play hard...

Mummy Hayley & Daddy Alex x x x x x  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv2: :Luv2:

Dear Possum,

It will be 2 weeks tomorrow when you left us for the bridge. In some ways it feels like months since I last cuddled you, in others it feels like only yesterday.

Daddy Alex & I miss you every minute of every day. I swear I still hear you yodelling on the landing and going through the cat flap. I find myself looking in all the places you chose for your bed and still expecting to find you.

Hope you're having fun with Fruitbat, Nero, Chico, Benton, Dina (Dollop) and Polo. And I hope you're being friendly to Vesti, Bunty and Sofa (I know what you're like with cats you don't know, can be a right little feisty butter!  :naughty:)

Anyway sweetie, I can't see the keyboard for tears so I'm gonna sign off
Sweet dreams angel-face xxx :Luv2: :Luv: :'( :'( :'(

Thank you

Possum (real name Ebony, although we never used it apart from at the vets!) was such a character. She was a total fruit-loop and very kooky! She was the noisiest cat I've ever come across. She'd wake us up at 5am, yowling at the top of her voice, demanding that she be fed her breakfast...and then when we'd get up and feed her, she'd take one look at her bowl and then saunter off, like she was thinking "what's that muck you're trying to serve me?!"

The house is so so quiet without her now...good job I've got her yowling and meowing on video, so I can soon get my fix!  :sneaky: :Luv2:

Fought hard with her illness but it took her in the end. You brought me and Alex soooooo much love, joy and laughter. We miss you more than words can ever say and will always feel like part of us is missing.

Play hard on the bridge my beautiful angel. Reunited with your mum and brother.

Untill we meet again... XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
