I quite like that article; dont for one minute think the writer is condoning cruelty. I read it more as someone like me who is sick to the back teeth of watching pathetic little stories getting so much publicity and causing so much outrage, while in the real world thousands of peoples lives have been devastated by floods (and animals too), miners are trapped below ground with no hope of rescue for many weeks, young men are off to war many never to return others to leave arms and legs behind.
Sorry I feel for the cat but all this publicity is doing is encouraging copy cat crime while RSPCA rake in money, in a real case of 5 kittens put in a bin which was emptied into a wagon, they didnt want to know, the bin men cried along with me as we rummaged through the muck rescuing 3 tiny kittens and found 2 bloodied crushed corpses.
Just maybe suitable containers for unwanted animals might be a good idea.
