As a cat-oholic, I had some bad thoughts today. Please don't judge me or exile me from this community. I am hoping me being honest will mean you can forgive me.
Ella and Effie are due their routine worming, so on the way home from work I got off the bus and went into the vets. As I was waiting there was this lovely lady waiting with her cat box. I asked if I could look in his box and saw this beautiful kitten. he was about 4-5 months old, ginger with beauitful eyes and he was looking at me.
She told me that she had rescused him from a friend who wasn't taking care of him and he was now having his first jabs and she was making an appointment for neutering. But whilst she was talking, the cat was looking at me and he was saying "daddy daddy" . I could hear it clearly, "Daddy take me home" he said, as clear as day.
Suddenly I could see myself wanting him and running out of the shop with him and he came to live with us and we named him Eli - after the Tv programme Eli Stone, as our surname is Stone and Eli goes so well with Effie and Ella. And also my partner is ginger so it would have been like our son because he would have looked like his other dad. I could see myself coming home everyday with Ella, Effie and Eli running towards me through fields of dandelions to say hello!!
And we all just sat at home spending our Euromillions lottery winnings buying treats from the Purrs shop. It was so nice and so real and I needed it. Our little life was perfect.
Anyway at that point she was called in and took
MY Eli for his jabs and I was handed the worming treatment and had to come home alone on the bus. And when I got home Ella and Effie didn't run towards me through fields of dandelions, they just kinda glared as I appeared to have woken them up from about 9.5 hours of sleep.....
I will always miss you Eli.... Daddy loves you......
