Thanks for that info Gill much appreciated Unfortunately insurance is one of those things i have been meaning to get around to  :(
Abby has not had another one up to now i'm hoping it's not the vets that did it cos she goes monthly for a weighin as she is on a diet only needs to lose 0.04 of a kilo now though
I didn't keep the cats seperate except at bedtime last nite and today while we were at work
She seems fine her normal self
So fingers crossed it was a one off
Thanks for the support xxxx

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

Sending lots of good vibes and know about this stuff cos of Franta

Also Zoe knows cos of Ollie so we are here if you have any questions.

Purrrrrrrrrsonally I dont agree about keeping the cats seperate, did the vet say why?

One of the main things I have found is to trty and keep them stressfree as much as possible and seperating the cats will not do this. I wouldnt be too happy about Abby going outside however, if she does.

Another thing is to offer a dish of her wet food immediately after a seizure, cos for some reason they seem to be ravenous.

Try to keep her calm after a seizure but dont fuss her, I found that talking gentle to Franta and stroking him until he didnt want that anymore, was helpful. Thedy get very tired and often want to be left alone after a while.

Loads of luck and hope she doesnt have another, keep a diary of time, lentgh of time of seizure and any pertenant things that happen just before and after.

Please tell me you are insured with a good company.

I took Abby for her weigh in at the vets tonight on the way back just got out of the car and she started fitting it was sooo scary i phoned the vets and they had me take her straight back for a check up
She has never had one before and has so far not had another one
The vet said to keep her separate from our other cat but she has been going mad so I have opened all doors but they will be separated at night time and maybe tomorrow when we go to work
Please send Abby some be well vibes please xxx :thanks:
