Have you tried boffing her on the head with one though  :naughty: She shouldn't be able to resist biting it which should then turn into a straw frenzy  :evillaugh:

Not tried that approach yet....will give it a try!  At least straws are easy to replace when they get lost in to the secret place where cat toys hide!!   ;D

I feel bad cause she's been on her own all day while I was at work!!

Riley and his straw sounds sooooooooo cute!  :Luv2:  I've tried Maizie with straws but she just looked at me like I was being stupid!

45 mins  You are too good to her  :naughty:

Riley likes to play fetch but I get bored after 10 mins and have been known to hide the object that he insists on repeatedly bringing to me  :-[ (normally a straw).

He was very cute the other day though, he'd taken a straw outside to play with earlier in the day. It was pouring with rain and he was whining his little head off to go outside, I don't normally let them out when it's raining but he was soooo persistant I gave in. I opened the back door, he rushed out grabbed his straw, turned around and ran straight back in with it in his mouth  :Luv2:

Normal here. I have a fetch ADDICT. Most I've allowed him in one go is 1 hour. Then I put his toy away, I simply get bored! I also have a Border Collie and there's only so much throwing I can cope with per day.

lay me down, let me go, feeling heavy the ground is cold,
lay me down take it slow I'm ready to stumble, sing & then swing low

Some of you may have read my post last week about Maizie's lost ball.  She has progressed now to playing with it rather than guarding it!
We have now been playing fetch for 45 minutes (& counting)!  Is this normal or does she have an unusual level of endurance???  I'm carrying it on to see long she do it for until boredom sets in!  No sign of it yet!!  ;D
