entire male about 5 years old, picked up as a stray, spent first week in pen, no tray problems. Since neutering however he is now refusing to use his tray to wee in. Will poo in in but that is about it. Will pee in his bed and then lie in it, removed bed and now peeing on carpet tiles on floor of run and then lying in it. Moved litter tray further from food, no go. Never encountred this before post neuter, any ideas.
Considered sore from op, so litter tray aversion, but op was last Friday so soreness should have passed by now.
Possibly depressed at being in pen, but dare not bring him in, while h is weeing eveywhere. Considered bringing him in and putting in dog crate so he has a bit more human company. Will look at changing litter, currently on ordinary grey cat litter which he was on before. Even consideing putting carpet in bottom of tray, but never come across a cat who wees and then lies in it, eewww!
Suggestions please.
