how to stop Tepe's killing spree

It's part of a cats nature to hunt - unless you keep them indoors you kind of have to accept it.

Only one way to stop them. Keep them indoors. Frankly though my lot have not been seen without a mouse in their mouths for several weeks now, and I am sooooooooooo glad I have them here. Though the bits of mouse left after consumption leave something to be desired

I dont think there is a way to stop them sadly  My Harry is a hunter and through the spring and summer times he brings back at least 3-4 kills a day. I dont mind if they are already dead but it's coping with them if they are not 

Harry is so imminent he can even manage to get over the catproofing

Young blackbirds are a nightmare, such stupid stupid birds, fancy 'fledging' BEFORE you can fly and opting to live on the ground! Perfect cat targets 

Bells dont stop them hunting even if they wore collars so dont worry over that, they learn to stalk without ringing them!
Do you keep them in when the birds are most vunerable ie dawn and dusk?

I dont think collars, with bells on or not will help...............afraid only one answer and no goos for outdoor cats.............and thats keep them inside 

Its their natural instict to hunt and I remember a very old Kocka catching a mouse and she spent the rest of her life looking for another.............she would have had a fileld day if she was living here!

Sorry I should have said, I have tried collars so many times and tepe has his on about an hour then he comes back with it nissing and I have tried lots of different types and floss just can't tolerste them at all and got his jaw stuck in his once and now has a panic attack everytime I try one on him

I've had 3 squirrels this past week.
The last one made me panic as I'd brought the grey tabby kittens down to run round and Titch came storming out from behind the sofa with something dead in his mouth with a fluffy grey tail - it was a young squirrel about the same size as the kittens.

Kittens went back up rather quickly......

This is just getting crazy now, Tepe mainly although I don't think floss is entirely innocent! Everyday sometimes twice or even 3 times they are bringing back allsorts, pigeons (which are actually bigger than them)other various birds and the usual field mouse but now they have started bringing back baby birds which is upsetting me now. I know it's natural for them but Any suggestions. TF x
