Thanks, won't be so much fun swatting a box, they chew the cord if they get to it. Poppy runs her teeth over it.
I was on My way to work one morning, and I turned back because I couldn't remember if I'd put the cord out the way!!

They don't wind up the whole cord but enough to keep it out of the way.

They look good, thanks for that. At the moment we have one blind, I can reach to tuck the cord around the pole out of the way of mischievious cats. But Our new home has a big patio door with a blind and I wouldn't be able to put the cord out of the way. I will definately be getting a pack of these next week beofre we move.

I found some of these in a charity shop the other day - they are a really good idea
http://www.mothercare.com/Mothercare-Cord-winder-2pk/dp/B000MLSHF2?_encoding=UTF8&
I'm not sure if they are the same ones as my pack (unopened) was priced at £5.99 for 2 and they are £3.99 now (I paid £1
) They are spring loaded. You hook the end of the cord onto it and the blind cord winds itself into it (not sure if that makes sense) Willow was a terror for playing with the cords and I had to tie them up out of reach which is a pain when you want to open or close blinds. These could be life savers.
I was also pleased that they are made in Holland rather than China
