Hi Everyone!
I have just joined this forum and thought I would introduce myself.
My name is Rebecca and I am from Cheshire.
I am very involved in animal welfare and am the re-homing officer for my local RSPCA branch as well as a home checker, fosterer and transporter for many other rescues.
My whole life is pretty much revolved around animals, especially cats.
Not really much more to say about me so i'll introuduce you to my many pets.
Here is Zena, an 8 year old Rottie female.
Only had her a week actually so she is the newest member.
She came into a pound as a stray and although she was micro-chipped her owners did not want her back.
I couldn't leave such an old girl in kennels and so made a 260 mile round trip to bring her home and she has fitted in so well
This is Zeus. An 10 month old male Rottie who I adopted aged 4 months old.
He came into the RSPCA branch I work at after he got too big for his previous owners house!
He has been very hard work and took a LOT of training as he had no manners and was VERY VERY mouthy but we are getting there now and he is starting to become a nice boy.
Here is my very first pet and first cat, Ollie.
He is a semi-feral boy that was living on a local farm that was then turned into houses.
Sadly he was un-suitable to be re-homed as is quite wild in his ways but I couldn't resist and he has now been with me for 4 years.
Next came Lola, a currently 3 year old female.
She was my first ever foster cat and came to me with her 6 kittens.
I failed foster 101 and adopted her once her kittens were re-homed.
Then came Nala.
She is a 2 year old blue point Birman.
She came from a very good breeder who now works as a fosterer for me.
The next to join the mad-house was Casper who is currently 1 year old.
He was abandoned aged just 3 weeks old and I nursed him back to health and hand-reared him.
After such a close bond and I couldn't let him go and so he became a permanent resident.
The latest feline addition was Mia.
A 6 month old chocolate point Birman from the same breeder as Nala, although not related.
Nala being an indoor cat seemed quite lonely when the other cats went out to play
so we decided to get her a friend that would be indoors with her.
And last but not least is Georgie, my syrian hamster
So there we all are, plus my partner and 2 children of course!
I am also currently fostering Torie a 16 month old female and her 4 kittens and Meg a 17 year old female.
At least life is never boring!
