i have a feeling hormones were involved too but think it was partly he didnt know what to do poor fella i know that when one of mine is ill they dont know how to act around them

That's very unusual behaviour. I've seen similar sights in real life working with feral cats. Most often departed cats are ignored by the living after a sniff or two. He must have known her quite well and thought she was just asleep.  :'( I do suspect some of that was hormones though.  :innocent:

Even so, a very moving clip.  :(
