;D Master Turbo part of the gang of 4 has been discharged from seeing the vet for 5 months when his next Program injection is due!

He was so good for the vet who remembered him as his eye doctor Morag thought he was jsut so sweet and didn't beleive he is a former feral!

He went with 6 of his siblings to the vet and all were well behaved and left no blood on the wall at the surgery - just at home thanks to dear Dallas!

Turbo got a good report from the vet and can join the other house cats starting tomorrow we only have to put drops in twice a day he will have about 75% vision to - vet says he desn't know how we cope with a sick little one and all the rest - I advsied I am coping and Oh is bad person at the weekend with eye drops the rest have us so well trained its not a hassle!!!

Turbo is enjoying his new found freedom and being part of the gang of 4 who are now sitting waiting for me to cut up breakfast - in fact he is still doing purr boy for me but is so happy after his long isolation and evil parents with eye drops every 4 hours!

So Jet, Aztec and Maya welcome Turbo back to the gang of 4 a.k.a. the Oodie Doodies - and yes when you shout that all 4 come running!

Jet and Turbo are off to the vets for their final kitten injections to move on up to supervised outside access for about 3 months then be able to join the indoor/outdoor crew for full privilages! ;D

Well I do so love a vets visit as some of you may know

Charlie the vet asked if the new vet could come and see Turbo's eye of course says I he was in a fairly good mood having been bribed with roast beef!  Charlie does the stain test and we have stain on the eye which is a good thing and the eye is open and looking good - new vet says its so easy with kittens - yes remarks I sepecially a tamed down feral - she say oh I thought you just released ferals - no says I we have 30 odd - oh a rather large outside colony she says no I remark these are the ones who share our home with the 17 domestics, the ragdoll and the Boys a.k.a the dogs

Charlie bless him couldn't help teh snigger as new vet looks stunned when I advise 46 of the cats visit twice a year for their injections etc as do both dogs, she asked about the other 2 rahter shockingly till I advised we have never handled Ace after 5 years of ownership and he still hasn't forgiven us for drugging him 4 years ago when we moved him and dear Blue they say 18 months ago when they did all his stuff and he is now like Ace not handlable or for the feint hearted parents he now has!!!!

Charlie advised jokingly if they come in a crush cage wake them up in it for your own good!!!

This poor lady will be seeing us in 3 weeks with some of the nastier boys - its a 2 crush cage visit!!!!!!

He is being such a good boy for me and is purring his head off and only eating cooked meat whilst being hand fed

He is on 3ml things of Metacam as the vet says he will be feeling like he has beens tabbed in the eye but I am getting to put drops in 6 times a day so far and we are off to the vet tomorrow night at 6.10pm so we are hoping for something positive here as he is so lonely in isolationand is currently sleeping in the sink :(

The other Oodie Doodies his full brother Jet and the tabby terrorists Aztec and maya are like a 3 legged cat and know something is missing and are all stalking me to find out where he is, even some of the adults are bemused by 3 very quiet kittens and waiting for the chaos to assume!

Turbo needs lots of positive vibes
« Reply #1 on: April 05, 2010, 18:23:24 PM »
Can we have some positive thoughts for Turbo our youngest kitten he is currently undergoing treatment for a 1mm hole in his eye - he had an op today and its glued, back to Vet on Wed night and then the specialist next week - he is on eye treatments 3 sorts every 3 hours - he hates Robin at the moment - he goes away tomorow then its me and Tubo against the world and no doubt some more shredding for me!

He is currently in the isolation wing - the pink bathroom snuggled up on a heat pad and looking very sorry for himself and has refused 3 sorts of food since 3.30pm when he duly came home from the vet with his Daddy - going to try Kitten food - his favourite shortly - we have every sort know to the market currently waiting for him to try

He got the injury to his eye through playing with his brother Jet and Aztec and maya who are all walking about looking for the other part of the Oodie Doodie squad and aren't sure what to do with their brother not around - Turbo is the ring leader

Vet advised that the cost would be well in to 3 figures with the Consultant and OH replied and the problem here is - new vet hasn't quite got the hang of the Clan yet but the Partner Scott just smiled at the new vet ans said - check out the number of cats they have and how promptly they pay - better than most with one was his choice of words!!!

So any positive thoughts for our youngest baby would be appreciated :thanks:
