I am happy to report that we have now been reunited with Smudge!

We're still not sure where he was for over a month, but we got a call about a cat that looked like him being stuck in a tree, and when we went round to the address, it was indeed Smudge. They had seen an advert online about him being missing and contacted me from that.

It's so wonderful to have him back home with us.

And to anyone out there that's still looking for their missing cat, the one thing I can say is please don't give up hope. And get the word out there as much as possible - the wider you spread your net, the more chance people have got to know that your loved one is missing.

Hi everyone,

Our little Smudge went missing on Thursday 11th February - he was in when we left for work in the morning, wasn't when we got home that night, and hasn't been seen since.

He is a friendly little thing, but it's really out of character for him to disappear like this.

Smudge is 2 years old, black and white (white legs and paws, white belly, and mainly black on top, black face with white markings around his mouth and nose), and when last seen, was wearing a black 'Staywell' collar with magnetic mouse. He is microchipped.

We live in the Surbiton/Tolworth area of Surrey (near the Hook roundabout on the A3). If you have seen him, or have any information, please contact me on habartlett@hotmail.com or 07940 500699. And if you live in the area, please could you check sheds/garages/cupboards in case he's run in by mistake. And please, if you are in the area, spread the word.

We miss Smudge desperately and want him home very much.  :'(
