I had the same thing with a lovely grey and white cat when I went on holiday to Lanzarote. There was loads of hotel cats around the pool and in the gardens, most of them were wild and would run away when you tried to pet them but there was one who loved to be stroked. By the end of the week she was waiting on our patio when we woke up and coming inside for scraps and a saucer of water, much to my mam's despair  :evillaugh:

'I have studied many philsophers and many cats. The wisdom of cats is infinitely superior'

Oh how lovely,   it is so heartbreaking to leave them behind,  you so want to take them but know it will cost thousands to get them through the system.  We went to Tunisa once and I found a tiny kitten that the hotel staff called Meme,  I took her everywhere with me,  she even ended up sleeping in my bed in the hotel  :innocent:  I used to take her to breakfast with me and stop and put her in the indoor garden bit for a wee  :naughty:,   she used to sit with us at night and watch all the hotel entertainment,  when we left she was taken care of by a couple we met who were there for a month and then they handed over to another couple when they left,  I like to think she has been cared for ever since.  I wanted to bring her back so much,  I was literally sobbing when I was leaving the hotel because I couldnt take her.

Missed my  Molly terribly on holiday but within one day, this wee honey appeared with the most endearing 'squeak'.

She sussed out I loved her within that one day (yep, one!) and at 4.30pm on the dot, the wee soul appeared at my door.    tiny little thing, chunk out of her left ear.   I'd spot her at the end of the gardens in the morning, I'd 'chee chee'  (the International 'chee chee' )  and she would come flying across at great speed till she reached where I was standing.....  breakfast was tuna fish,  dinner was ham, salami and sardines.   ;D  Sigh, warm heart stuff.

Before I left, she was coming into the apartment and lying on the rug after 'dinner', washing and purring her wee heart out.   Damn, I'd have done anything to bring her back with me.

This little furbundle made my holiday!  ;D :Luv2: :Luv:
