Well thats Ollie been to the green people today

He got on well he seems on the mend and she was happy with his physical examination.

Re his blood tests the test on liver was a bit high and his sodium was a bit high and he has lost nearly 1kg so thats a lot.

He has to go back in two weeks time to get blood tests for liver etc and check his weight again and hopefully now he eating he may put a we bit on

They are going to be keeping close eye on him so that makes me happy and he seen his usual vet who he loves to bits as she is great with him

He was not keen on the vet he seen last week but she did a good job with him. He seems to have his preferances. I always try get his usual vet unless emergency ie like last week

Things still going well with Ollie and think he likes to test me and make me stressed to the max at times.

He is of to see the green people at 10.30 tomoro for an examination and to go over his test results.

Think all should be ok.

he is back to his demanding self. But it love it

The vet called today with Ollies results. A few of the results came back a bit higher than normal but nothing to be over concerned about she said. not sure what as called from work

She has asked i take him in on Saturday for another check over to be on the safe side as she does not want to take any chances due to his epilepsy etc.

Will get the vet to explain results to me then.

So really no idea why he was so poorly for a week. I suppose it could just be a bug.

He is currently trying to eat me out of house and home and i am supprised that the neighbours at the bottom of the street cannot hear him shouting for his breakfast at 6am.  thats my boy though and it worries me when he does not shout. least his shouting makes me know he on the mend

Ollie says fanks for all the good wishes

He is just on his epilepsy meds. He is currently having something to eat

I will call the vet in the morning to let them know how he is as they want a daily update,

The results of the blood tests they took on Saturday should be back tomoro, All the tests they did in house were ok ie liver kidneys, gloucose and cant remember the others

He has been quite playful today which is a good sign. vet reluctant to mess about with meds on him til results back and then they will prob discuss next course of action with the animal hospital first once results back

He is drinking ok now.

Will see what vet says in morning

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

Hi Just a we update on my boy

I have him home with me now, The vet had him on a drip and also fed him.

When i got him home he was quite spooked but think thats epilepsy related.

He has eaten more tonight off his own accord. Was sick later on but he certainly seems to have piched up.

The vet has done comprehensive blood tests so i should get results of them Monday or Tuesday, i have to call vet daily to let them know his progress.

I think he is improving but we just need to monitor him and least inknow if any detariation he will be admitted to the animal hospital in Glasgow where he had his MRI scan.

I second what MM has said and know my vet was so worrtied about Franta when he wouldnt eat, she never mentioned a feeding tube though and I didnt know enough to suggest it. She was really scared about his liver and he already only had onre kidney.

Sendong lots more good vibes for Ollie

Im glad hes in on fluids, it can really perk them up  have they mentioned a feeding tube? If not do ask, its really important because his liver is going to be packing its bags soon, the weaker he feels the less he will want to eat and it becomes a vicious circle, a tube can break that.
Never be afraid to ask your vets or even tell them, its your animal and if your happy to pay they shouldnt mess around, it sounds like the locum wasnt as bothered as your proper vet
