Bozita do a tinned kitten food [chicken, shrimp, salmon and beef] which I've only found available from Zooplus.       I started introducing it very gradually a couple of weeks ago mixing it with the whiskas but it is probably only in the last week that they have exclusively had Bozita.      They were wormed a month ago and again this weekend [or at least one of them was couldn't get the other one to have the tablet].     I noticed the runs yesterday after worming but prior to that one of them had been a bit 'soft' but not runny.   I had to take my moggie to the vet today for his boosters and took kittens along and vet said chicken or fish and to go back if things don't improve and to take them off the Bozita kitten for now [which we did last night].     They had some Bozita adult last night & this morning and chicken tonight.      I don't think it can be anything plant or litter etc that has caused it as it is both of them.    I know they've not had any human food as it is only myself and husband and neither of us has given them anything and neither have they had the opportunity to get at anything.  I've an appointment for tomorrow at a different branch to see an eye specialist [my raggie Beau has an eye ulcer] and will take them then as well if need be but I don't think that I will need to.    There hasn't been anything nasty in the tray today and both are smelling sweetly!

Chicken and fish are very bland so a lot different and they are what vets advise to give.

What do you mean by rich or bland? I always find that confusing as in a human sense that means high fat or high meat protein. The Bozita tetrapacks are virtually all cooked chicken anyway, low in fat (4-5%), doesn't contain any artificial colours or flavourings just a few vitamins and minerals.

I was not aware Bozita did a kitten wet??

Did the upset tummy start as soon as you changed their food? I may be misinterpreting it but it reads from your post that you changed the food several weeks ago but the upset tummy is a recent thing?

If you changed the food several weeks ago and the upset tummies have only just started then it is highly unlikely to be down to the food. Have they been wormed recently? Could they have got access to any plants or anything else they shouldn't eat? Did the upset tummies start at the same time or did one start with it and then the other?

Personally for kittens I would use Hills i/d tins as a bland diet as it is a complete food although if you cannot get to a vets to pick some up then boiled chicken and fish will be fine for a day or so. If a day or so of a bland diet doesn't make any difference please take them to the vet to get them checked over.

I wasn't aware Bozita did a kitten-specific wet food? Bozita is high in meat and low in fat .... chicken or fish won't be much different other than they aren't complete. Are you sure they haven't been eating something they shouldn't such as cat litter or human tidbits? Perhaps they are sensitive to the beef or fish in the flavour of Bozita you are using? Have you considered a course of probiotic bacteria to repopulate the gut flora?

How did you introduce the food? If it wasn't done gradually, that could be the explanation, and starting again with gradual introductions should work.

 they are nearly six months.    Have taken the kitten food away and just kept the adult food down to see if that makes any difference.   Will get to the shops later and get chicken/fish and may ve som whiskas

It could be that the food is too rich for them and chicken or fish should help  but you dont say how old they are and if they dont firm up in a day or so, you need to get them checked by the vets.

Once firm, I would put them back on the food which doesnt upset them

Hi all

several weeks ago I changed my kittens food from whiskas kitten to bozita kitten [wet].       The adults also have Bozita adult and they seem to be thriving on it [and the kittens will eat this as well given half a chance].       However my little ones now seem to have the runs.       They were fine on the Whiskas but I wanted something more nourishing for them.     They seem fine and healthy in all other respects so I think it is just the food.       Has anyone else had this problem with Bozita?       Wondering if I alternate between Bozita and Whiskas if they will be ok.   

Whats the best way of firming things up first though?    Fish and chicken?
