being a stray they would have been told stop feeding it and it will go away,

You don't have to be physic to know that, do you?

but did you find anyone talking any sense?

Funny you should say that, for the first time ever the gentleman listened to what I had to say,  did not try to argue and said he would have a word with the Inspector. As I was putting the phone down I thought to myself that is the first time I have ever felt satisfaction when ringing the helpline.

If you have a stray you are told stop feeding it and it will go away, & so many people would do what they say!  :(

"We tried to phone the RSPCA but couldnt get through."

I actually rang them myself a couple of hours ago and by pressing the 2 2 4, I got through in about 20 seconds.

but did you find anyone talking any sense? >:(

You are quite lucky then Forever - I have only tried to ring them once, we gave up after holding for 45 mins and rang someone else, who answered straight away and would send someone (family of ducks stuck in a canal lock)

About 7 years ago. I lived in a flat in Hackney. One day I was coming up the path and I saw my neighbours going in the main door with their very small dog. (they didn't see me) They  opened the front door and SWUNG the dog through the door by it's lead. I rang the RSPCA - the dog was never seen again!  >:(

they arent to bad at coming out quickly to a suspected cruelty or neglect case thou
in the past ive rang them and within 2 hours theyve been at the persons address
but they dont often do nothing unless theres proof of neglect or cruelty .

Recently people have contacted me saying they are having difficulty in contacting the RSPCA helpline re injured or cruelty case, and also  need to listen to load of waffle. I suggest that if you so wish to report an injured pet or a cruelty case, as soon  as THE voice answers  on 0870 555 999 you press 2 2 4, hopefully it won't be long before you actually get a human.
