He was picked up a few hours ago. Apparently he has been 'catnapped' before! and he does wander, and has always had access to outdoors - when I said he'd gone into the town hall his owner said he also likes to go to the hotel next door!!
So, he's about 17 (they've had him since he was a kitten) and is hyperthyroid - he has been to the vet just last week and the vet thinks something else is going on - I suggested kidneys because of that 'ureamic' (sp?) smell, which he thought too, and I said there are things that can help. They have been struggling with his coat - and I must admit the coat can suffer when they have hypert, and the knots were all underneath (the rest of the coat was okay ish) so not the easiest to get to - especially when he is apparently quite feisty! - he bit the vet last week
He didnt mind me brushing him last night though - and when his owner came I said I'd get the underneath knots of while he was here to hold him if wanted, so I managed to get most of the big knots out, and gave the rest of the coat a good brush - he looked a lot better than when I brought him back last night
- I gave the owner one of my cards
Anyway, for me, with all thats going on at the mo - it was actually quite a good distraction - gave me something different to focus on
