I admire the way the blogger names and shames judges who only hand out wrist slaps and suspended sentences for appalling cruelty.
DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

That is one of lots of stories on there (A UK one - from Leigh-on-sea). The blogger isn't defending any of them - the opposite in fact.

There is one here where the kitten was saved by some boys after having its paws slashed by a combine harvester and left to die. There was a happy ending there at least  :) although Howard lost his front paws  :'(- Howard is  :Luv: http://catdefender.blogspot.com/2009/08/combine-operator-severs-howards-front.html

And the story of the brave woman who was hit by a car saving some kittens she saw being dumped on a busy road http://catdefender.blogspot.com/2009/08/georgia-woman-is-struck-and-nearly.html

This person speaks our language. Be warned, there are some upsetting stories but they shouldn't be brushed under the carpet.

Apparently, an ailurophobe is a someone who hates or fears cats.
