mmm quite surprised to hear that - would a normal sensitive diet not be ok, like royal canin sensible 33 (I think) - it worked for Tilly and the famous bengal tum

Nova potentially has IBS  :(

I've had to put both him and Mia on the extortionate Hills Science Diet food (£25 for 2kg!)  And we'll see how he does.

His well being is worth more to me than anything, but i'm almost £92 poorer than I was and thats no fun

Nova and I were playing with the new feather toy an hour ago, he was having a great time leaping around the living room when he suddenly dived into the crinkly cat tunnel and he pooed in there  :'(  There was no blood but it was runny.

He loves that tunnel and never had any poo accidents in the living room until today.

He's now curled up sleeping on my lap, I just want the vets appointment to be now :(

Thanks all for the reassurances.

Nova's always been a cat with a delicate tum but this is the first time i've seen anything other than runny poo from him

Trigger has a show of blood if he gets stressed, or if he's loose - and quite a bit in the latter case too

the first time was when he went to be neutered, and the vet checked him out before he would operate, but there was no underlying condition

and it's happened again occasionally over his nearly 9 years, but it  always  stops again before I start to think of the vet - which would exacerbate the bleeding anyway as he hates the carrier

so hopefully once checked you can stop worrying

Thanks, I'll try not to worry too much. I left him and his sister at home chasing around like loonies and I'm hopefully going to spoil him with toys from the cat show lol.

If he felt under the weather I'd stay at home but he's full of life and before he used the litter tray we were play stalking lol

try not to worry too much, if they thought it was urgent they'd have fitted you in - I've had this with Oscar in the past, oh phoned me at work, I rushed home from London and we took him to the vet and she said "oh it just happens sometimes"!!!  obviously you should always check it out with a vet but try not to panic too much until then

Glad you've got him booked in at the vets, hopefully it will be nothing to worry about.  Byron occasionally used to get it but not had it for ages and my vet said sometimes there can be a bit of tummy irritiation.  Better to get it checked out though, good luck
