I am sorry to hear of your loss but oh how happy will be all those little ones at the bridge. I can imagine them all waiting around her chair for a little cuddle.
I can clearly see that your memories are wonderful and I hope they will help you through these sad times x

Thanks for all your lovely thoughts.

Elsa will be delighted to be inundated by all our many Bridge Babes, and will treat them all equally and make sure every single one gets all the love they need, just as she did in her planet earth days.

Thanks, all. Granny would be charmed to know she had so much publicity.

She was a dinner lady at Chaucer Road school, Fleetwood, and a top cook as her father owned a confectioners shop in Bolton, Lancs.

She made the best pastry ever, a new pie every Wednesday

I never even thought about the "Born Free" big cat thing with her name. Crikey - Elsa! of course! Thanks Rosella. x

So sorry to hear about your gran she reached a wonderful age and has left a lifetime of memories for you, how lucky the bridge babies are to have her there to give them lots of  :hug: and cuddles,

So very sorry to hear that your Gran didn't make the big zeros Sheila.  Fabulous age all the same and was obviously a wonderful cat lady so am very very glad that the bridge babes have such a special slave to administer to their needs.  Our Fred will apply many a headbutt  :Luv:

What an age to reach and to have seen this world change in so many ways must have been amazing.

I am sure she will leave a huge gap in your life....

I hope my Bridge babies have found her, they love a lap to curl up on.

My Gran went to the bridge today. She was 99 and had been very frail for a very long time.

She loved cats, when I was a kid she had a huge black cat called JohnWilly who was the terror of the neighbourhood, but he so loved her  :Luv2:

Ten minutes after I got the news, I had four cats all trying to get on my knee, an hour later I had three neighbours cats in my kitchen and a rare cuddly encounter with Pursley (who doesn't "do" cuddles). They just seem to know, don't they?

So, for anyone whose cat has departed for the bridge, fear not, my Gran (Elsa) is there and sharing out the cuddles. The big, black norty ones might get a bit of extra loving.

It's helped me to write this, I hope you don't mind.
