Awww she's a beauty! Glad she seems better now. I think these drugs are wonderful. My cat was at the emergency vet on Sunday (he'd been bitten by a RAT apparantly!) and really looked so poorly, couldn't even lift his head up. He had abs, pain killer and anti inflammatory and by Mon, he was 90% better. Just amazing!

erm well
glands are fine, no prolapse , no blockage,no temp. vets opinion is that shes either passed a big poo (ive not seen anything in the tray) or shes been "got at by another cat"??
i take it she doesnt mean theyve been fighting? :-[

shes had an anti- inflamitory injection and the vet said to watch to see that it doesnt bleed etc.

im sure theyve got me on their system by now as crazy and panics easy  :-[

Glad they have given their opinion  ;D
She will be much more comfy if its her glands impacted after having them emptied (stand back, they smell  ;))

Compare to lucifers, theres not anything sticking out?
Its more than likely sore anal glands but you can phone the out of hours vets for advice, if theres anything poking out it could be prolapsed so would need much quicker attention

sore bottom
« Reply #1 on: October 26, 2009, 19:36:50 PM »
wasnt sure how to title this
now the fleas are abating, sods law ive just noticed that spare cats bottom is very red, shes not keen at me having a close look but it looks sore and distended (sp) and theres a clump of black hair caught (shes black and white) shes not licking it alot or acting like shes in pain but she has been glued to my lap all weekend which is odd for her. vet immediately or tomorrow? i dont spend at lot of time examining her foo foo so im not sure if this is just a normal part of some sort of process? or haemoroids?

edited to add, the cats share litter facilities and ive not noticed anything odd, she seems to be cleaning as normal
