Yes its plugged in Helen  :slap:

It doesnt scan him in normal mode so iv been instructed how to alter it into test mode and such, long and short of it is it still doesnt let him in so im awaiting the next stage of instructions.
I thought at first the porch was broken but it does read when it wants to

It died?

Does it run off the power or batteries?

If its power have you checked the plug/s and lead into the flap?

Grrrr cant believe its dead after it looks so good

Thats the slowly ever getting rounder Lola Gill  ;D we are reducing steroids so hoping she will shrink soon  :Luv2:

I didnt get my dads jigsaw out, he would have had a hissy fit  :scared: i used an old school manual hacksaw as the previous hole just needed to be widened abit, i also had to shorten the screws so quite pleased with myself. Next job is putting the plastic roof up on the cat pen

Who is the cat in the picture?

The flap looks great and a jigsaw with wood is easy to use, isnt it  ;D

Back in London I hired a jigsaw from end of the road and they couldnt believe it cos took it back in an hour

That made me laugh
Theres a website that says by ordering from them you lose your distance buying rights to return the item  so if anyone is considering a pet porte avoid them like the plague, they are far from the cheapest too!

Dexter is applying his normal head first approach to his new toy  :evillaugh:

I was looking at the description the other day, I particularly liked this:

*  Programmable for up to 31 of your cats

REALLY cat mad? No problem!

Its the newer model, petplanet sell both for the same price so seemed silly to get the basic model, i cant wait for the add on that lets you monitor from your pc  :wow:
I read a great review somewhere explaining how on the first model the locks are on the base of the door flap, allowing tom cat pee to seep in and corrode the inner workings

Nice work MM  :ok: Love the title of the second pic

Is that the latest version of the Pet Porte? I'm soooo tempted to get one but am stopping myself for various reasons that make complete sense   1) It's only the boys in the garden so no chance of stray cats 2) I still haven't got round to fitting the 'normal' cat flap that I have had for nearly 18 months 3) They cost an arm and a leg  :evillaugh:

Just seen your edit bm, no shes still here

I decided to be brave and i fitted the pet porte  ;D not the best of skills employed to enlarge the door cut out but it worked and you cant see how 'smooth' it is now its fitted  :evillaugh:
Need a step of some kind outside the door so it can read his chip and we are 100% stations go  :wow:

No he cant stay here forever BM, its not fair on him as hes desperate to be part of a family and is trying hard to be nice but now 2 of my boys have started to fight back  :tired: revenge of the nerds type thing!
The pet porte is to create him his own man pad, food, catnip and bed will be all his  ;D

It started off funny but it has got silly now, they loiter at the gate. Its unfair for dexy poos, he is starting to lose his dominance so gets turfed out his bed. Supervised in the day i can get him on the sofa behind the boys backs  :shify:

Saggy belly is a very smelly old cat that spits on what food is there and steals his bed.

Sorry, I know that's not meant to be funny but have visions of saggy belly spitting on Dexters food  :evillaugh:  Like you say, you can't be responsible for them all but it's good that you are looking out for them

No im not fitting it  :scared: would hate to think of the damage i would do with a jigsaw  :omg: the hole there needs widening, after that i should be ok.

Bob is a greedy neighbours cat who eats everything in sight and doesnt go in his house as theres a nasty piece of a work of a child.
Goth cat is an immediate neighbour owned by chavs, wears studded leather collar with large cross pendant, is ultra aggressive to other cats and obvious flu carrier.
Saggy belly is a very smelly old cat that spits on what food is there and steals his bed.

All cats have 'owners' but they dont care for their animals like they should yet dont give up ownership :tired: Saggy belly is 16 and is v.arthritic and i can smell his mouth at 10 paces, have tried to get them to take him to vet but they havnt  >:( they are first floor and im quite sure he cant climb the stairs.
I have to accept i cant be responsible for every animal  :( and cant foot the bill for them all so i have to care well for what i can help. Im also hoping if dexter has his own man pad it will make his behaviour better until he gets his own proper home.

Will add they wont be shelterless as im not that mean but i wont be rigging up electricity supply to any other kennels
