Blip came to us from a rescue at eighteen months and she grew substantially in the next six months - in length and height and in width too, it must be said.

It varies from cat to cat.  As Dawn says, some breeds take longer to mature and reach their full size and I'd guess that applies to individuals too.  Mosi continued to grow visibly until he was about 3 (he's a somali).

My 4 youngsters had mostly filled out by 2yrs, my vet says he doesnt go with the fully grown in 12 months theory and says 2-3 is much more like it, they had all put on weight at that appt but not in a flabby way  ;D

Mine are all wonderful moggies and have hit their actual size by about 2yrs!  ;)

I have a couple of hairy beasties here, all having the ear tufty and hairy feet, so I think its just cos of the long hair!

some breeds take longer to mature, maine coons take ages so if she does have any mc in her she might take a while to reach full size, I know with my bengal she didn't reach full size until she was about 2

This may sound very dense on my part...
We rehomed Megmog from the cattery in April after she had had her kittens weaned. I think I said this in my introduction.

Looking at her she is now a lot bigger than she was.  I do not mean fat- she is longer and bigger. You can feel ribs very easily and is only a pretty strict diet having been speyed- some kibble and two or three sachets a day. Luckily she is not a greedy cat. She is very active and usually climbing up the kitchen units to sit on them or the scractching on the top of the kitchen door.

Does this mean shecould be younger than we thought as we said she was about 18 months?

We also are begining to think there could be some Maine Coon in her as she has very hairy feet, ear tufts and thick thick fur.

Thanks

Our best anniversary present yet! The rehoming of Megmog!
