Mr T was happily pursuing a SLUG last night - its about his speed these days!!

Poor chap - he doesnt want to venture further than the balcony, and makes do with what he can find. 

Thankfully, he just wanted to pat it and not eat it

This morning Harry had sparrow brains for breakfast 

Now thats the funny thing wibble, Harry doesn't go for spiders- if I show him one he will sniff it and look at me like Im stupid  Lyla is into butterfiles at the moment

Oh, Dear 

I'm afraid (as you well know  ) its just in the nature of cats to chase little things .....

I think nearly all of us who've had cats could tell gruesome stories

Cats are remarkably good at remembering where prey "disappeared" to.  Ive taken birds and mice away and they will sit by the place they last saw it for ages.  And even days afterwards sniff around, just in case.

 As both cats now only go out if we take them, the prey tends to be spiders and small crawlies that they catch on the balcony .....

Oh well Lyla had brought the bird back in, not alive of course  she must of snook out the back when it came out, she usually hangs around the sink when Im feeding them-she wasnt there I should of known 

Oh Wibble I have many a horror story of Harrys kills, not for the faint hearted so Ill keep them to myself  but yes he's a very naughty boy when it comes to hunting 

Its just when something is brough back alive, which isnt often, I get in a panic and usually end up at my vets looking like an idiot

It's ironic that they are endangered there, and I have at least 50 of them raiding my chook yard daily. Hope he finds his way to safety CC - they are so vulnerable when they first leave the nest...

Poor little scrap - Well - if its made it this far ....Try making the room dark, apart from one area of light.  Cats out of the room if possible    Birdie will (hopefully) head for the light .... 

Dont be too upset if it doesnt make it 

 I know sparows are scarce in some areas (I love them and we have a fair number here) but remember that they do produce a good number of babies and nature can be VERY cruel .....

Yes its just like that.

Its managed to escape when I tried to put it into a cat box, down the side of the washer and Lyla is currently sitting on guard. I will go put it over the back if it comes out alive 

I dont know how its still alive as Harry usually brings back dead!!!

Does he or she still have a yellowish area around the beak - that indicates a baby ..... 

Could you put it at the front of the house?  Hopefully then the cats wont know where it is .

Then, if it cheeps enough, (and it sounds as if it might well)  Mum and Dad will find their missing little one and feed it

Could you maybe put it over the fence (go through the peeps over the back of you) and put the little mite there and keep Harry in?

Needing suggestions as to what to do with this? its alive and well and keeps trying to escape  although there are 6 cats in the room and Harry has placed himself on my knee as my new best friend 

its a tiny little thing but i dont know if its still relying on mum to feed, it can fly as far as i can see.

I cant put it out the back as it wont get over the 6ft fence
