Flynn - the Steve McQueen of Stalag Luft Kitty

I have posted about this on another forum, so apologies to those who have read about Flynn there.

You will need the sound up to appreciate the videos.

I ended up with Flynn because I could not resist this:

I had the illusion that I would be able to keep Flynn and Mitzi (the kitten I had planned to get) inside the house. No way. Flynn wanted OUT. Even the slightest gap and he was through and he moves so fast that he is impossible to catch. It is not that he wants to run away. He wants to hunt. Specifically he wants to hunt birds.

I believe it was on this forum, or on Catchat, that I found out you could catproof a garden. Large payment later and I was very, very content with four very content cats.

But there are birds in the tree canopies and in the neighbours' gardens. There are no birds in our garden. The survivors have more sense. (Even the squirrels are terrified of him.)

So Flynn starts to dig......

So far the sleepers are working but I still check religiously each day for signs of digging.

The moral of this story is be wary of getting a cat on impulse. Not really. He is delightful to live with.
