Well we are in the enviable situation of not having many kittens (We just don't get many calls asking us to take them in) so the few kittens that do come through us, go to the best of the best when it comes to homes. We get quite a few calls to home kittens and often they end up having an adult cat because they don't meet our strict criteria for kittens. We are very lucky, I know if we were a few miles north in our patch, we wouldn't be able to be as fussy! We're also lucky because our adopters seems to take our advice on what cat would suit them really well and things always work out well, even if they have a different type of cat to their initial enquiry. For kittens; We expect very, very quiet roads (nowhere near busy ones) and someone home the majority of the time to entertain the kitten. Have got a couple of kitten visits this week so hopefully one them will be suitable for little Emily. (Fingers crossed!)

Little Emily and her brother Matthew were dumped outside our vets yesterday morning. Emily is fit and well but sadly Matthew was dumped with a badly broken leg  >:( We get the impression that someone had had an 'accident' with poor little Matthew and panicked, hence them being dumped because they are so well socialised, they muct have had someone looking after them until yesterday.
To cut a long story short, Matthew went off to have surgery, which went very well and he has a pin in his leg now and is doing great and staying at the vets over the weekend to then return to us on cage rest, Emily on the other hand is staying in my spare room for a few days til we have a foster space for her as we are full to the rafters at present. After keeping Monty, our first and only foster cat we said never again but we know we can't keep her as we really are full so it means we get to enjoy a kitten for a few days until one of our regular fosterers frees up. She's so gorgeous though, I can't imagine that she'll be without a home for long!
