Unfortunately as I said to Mark earlier, I don't know who this woman is or where she lives so I can't really call the rspca. Apparently my friends mum is going to speak to the woman as she's her friend and my friend told her everything I said. Her mum said 'the last 2 litters of kittens have been outside and they were fine' so what my friend said/or was told about these kittens being an accident was probably untrue. One accident is possible, 3 is just plain stupidity. TBH the one I'm most concerned about is the one with the poorly leg, I've told my friend to pass on to this woman that if she has any problems rehoming any of the kittens to responsible people who she knows and can check out to let me know, but I doubt she will.

My friend isn't really the one at fault, she has just really annoyed me, firstly by sticking up for this woman and secondly for acting very naively about everything.

Those poor babies need to see a vet. Please phone the RSPCA and report them.

I would probably do this too,

I think the issue is not so much your friend but this woman, she is the worry as it sounds like she isn't caring for them properly poor things  :( Even if your friend gets a kitten from her - still leaves the woman with the others.
Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

The chances are they have worms but kittens can die from diorheah (I can't spell it either) so easily  :'(
DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

Mark - I would be I haven't a clue who this woman is or where she is. I have told my friend to pass on to this woman that if she cannot find good homes for the kittens with people she knows, I will take them and do it for her. Depending on whether she is just doing it for the money will depend what happens I suppose but I can't believe how stupid my friend is being, she's normally so sensible!

What to say to my friend?

My friend who was originally going to take one of my fosters but decided to hold off til she was back from holiday has been to see a litter of kittens today to see if she wanted one when they are old enough.

Everything about where she is probably getting this kitten (she has chosen one) seems suspicious to me and she is being very naive about it, I'm having a hard time not just shouting at her. The woman apparently said that she took her cat to the vet to get spayed but the cat was already pregnant. My friend is probably getting a kitten for free as the woman knows her mum but she is selling the others, apparently she's not in it to make money though...?

The kittens are a month old, one has a deformed back leg and all currently have diarrea (which I can't spell) and have been put outside in what looks like a shed because of this. My friend does not think they have seen a vet.

Somehow my friend seems to think all this is fine and I'm so peed off. I'd already offered to help her find a rescue kitten but she didn't tell me about this untiol the last minute, probably knowing what I'd say. If her potential new kitten is still sick when she gets him/her (the woman doesn't know the sex) they could potentially infect her existing cat as well!
