Do you have a flea comb to get behind the fur on it and get it off that way?  If it was stuck fast you could trim it off with scissors but with the teeth of the comb between his skin and the gunk so no danger of hurting him.

Robbie is gorgeous by the way, don't think we've seen too much of him but that face is just  :Luv:

Cleaning dirt off fur

Anyone any tips for getting dried up gunk off cat fur?  Robbie seems to have acquired something that has dried onto his paw (I think it might be a leaf) but can't get it off.  He's not bothered about it at all and is a total angel when I have tried getting it off him but we have no luck so far.  Admittedly, I've only tried pulling/scratching at it and soaking it with water but so far it isn't for budging.  I'm sure it's a leaf and nothing more sinister as it has only appeared in the last few days after the rain (and his other claws were quite dirty to!).

There isn't much room either to trim it off with scissors and I would really rather that is my last option!!

It's not too clear in the photos but it does only seem like dirt!

Any ideas?

Karen
