Well, after giving me near heart failure because they wouldn't come in before it got dark the boys are back in and exhausted! Even Milo is tired but then hard tot ell as she's inherently, um, of a more relaxed nature
Oh I'll give you an update while I'm here actually. Bond is now my shadow, he follows me everywhere and will just sit and watch me go about my business, as long as he has me in sight he's happy. He's very very relaxed with me now but I think he is the more insecure, hence the shadowing. We tried to worm him with a pill at the vet last weekend, he flipped, took off like a rocket leaving me wounded, so he will not be a cat that will be medicated with pills if ever needed! But I can now pick him up as long as I approach it gently and carefully, in fact he rather enjoys a proper cuddle.
Dougal is just charm itself. He's not the most naturally athletic cat and always look a bit unco-ordinated when dashing about but it just makes me love him more. While he loves my company and that of Bond and Milo, he also likes to spend time snoozing on the suitcase under my bed or on the bed itself, that's where he usually is when I get home. He is a dream to medicate, he had a bit of a cough and a scratchy throat so he had a course of anti-biotics and anti-inflamatories, both in a syringe. He never fussed at all, just a little squirm but it was very easy and I was unharmed
Both boys love cuddles in the morning in bed, they'll walk up my chest and vie for my attention. Milo will often join in with this too.
Milo is of course Milo of the Grumpy Bum, she makes me laugh. She can be all sweetness and light, purring and demanding attention then in a blink will whack the boys and chase them off the bed/sofa. She can even be sleeping next to them then turn round and whack them
Poors boys don't know what to think but then that's nothing new with women!
Bond does now and again try to mount poor Dougal, he scruffs him then climbs on. Leaves a very puzzled Dougal and me just sat thinking they are taking the bromance too far!
I will miss my little gang when they find their forever homes
