she is a lovely cat..we have been blessed with her, it does seem strange how we found her outside our home stuck in the
drain, bottom upwards.....She now has found a way to get around the dog, its quite funny in a sense.

my dog is blind and she knows it now... :naughty: but if my dog gets too close, then she smacks him on the nose, and he walks away
as if to say, ok millys there.. :evillaugh:

milly is in season now, so i guess from that shes not pregnant, good news in one sense...im thinking that her kittens were weaned off of her

at there correct time. still no posters of her about reported missing, nothing at all.

now i shall arrange her to be neutered, as she should of been in the first place, as my young cat is trying to mate with her, but his been neutered

so milly is out of luck there... :naughty:

i cant feel any, but when i take her the vet again, hopefully they will be able to tell me for sure.

But my gut instincts are telling me, that her kittens may of been weaned off of her recently..

:'( If they have i so hope they are somewhere safe. xxxx At lease Mum (Milly) is safe. xxx

If and when she does have the kittens, i might need your help with homing them when they reach 8 weeks.

By the look of the size of her, i wouldn't of thought she will have many, shes tiny..

At the moment shes exploring my room,  as my son has her in his room at night, cos the other animals sleep in my room. 8)

Great to hear that you are keeping her, Cazanna.

Just for info: I received reply to my e-mail from CP. They say they are checking out what exactly was said with their Helpline volunteer and if you  would like to talk to them again they can offer advice. They noted that, as we can all understand, they simply cannot take in all the cats that are in need as, like all rescues, they are overwhelmed - especially at this time of year. They say that where they can't take in a cat it is their practice to advise people of other organisations that may be able to help them and that they constantly review what spaces they have coming up against the cats on their waiting list.

nice one Carol.  i know you've checked the drains locally so hopefully she's pregnant (never thought i'd hear myself saying that  :evillaugh:) and we dont have to stress out about kittens somewhere.  give me a shout if you need any help, just don't offer me a kitten  :evillaugh:

well we are going for a second opinion on whether she is pregnant, but ive had a good look at her belly tonight.
and she is bulging..which i know doesn't really tell alot..after 24 hours though, she is looking a whole lot better..and she loves chicken alot. ;D

But i will update you on her progress, and if she has babies you certainly all will see pics. ;D

Putting an entire cat out is mad,did they know this on 2nd phonecall? obviously every stray cat thats reported to a charity cant be taken in but sensible advice should be given to the finder.
An ultrasound would be a quick way of finding out if theres anything in there.
I hope there wasnt any kittens down there, they certainly would be shrieking after a few hours, is it an area with foot traffic? Hopefully people would hear.

She must be kept in now,and if you need any help with spaying costs then there are vouchers available  ;D

in hindsight maybe they did.  however, the information they had was that it was an elderly male cat.  no way they couldve known from the call that it was a possibly lactating female.

I did call the CP this afternoon and the man said that im too place the cat back outside, so that he whose now a she can find  way home.

He also stated that they don't take in all strays...which then left me very confused.

Update

He has turned out to be a she, according to the veterinary nurse, and she is either pregnant or has just had a litter.

Her teats are really swollen...as well as her being underweight..but we are going to keep her, so we will have try and

make her as comfortable as we can..when shes alot stronger, then we will introduce her to the dog.

I really can't understand this from a CP branch; it must have been a misunderstanding/or taken out of context, surely?
