"Lady" was found by a lady called Tina. "Lady" had been seen wandering around for 2 days in the castle Brom. area of Birmingham. Tina's vet refused to help so she took it to another vet, who took her in and were waiting on the RSPCA to pick her up.
Tina, in the meantime, was worried about the cat and began phoning rescues to see if anyone could help as the vet closed at 7pm yesterday and the RSPCA had, as usual, told the vet to let the cat go and then reluctantly said they may be able to get over and collect.
Anyway, cat described to me as 12+ with a distended stomach so suspected tumour. So, at 6pm yesterday I was driving to castle Brom to pick her up rather than depend on the rspca to rescue her.
In the meantime, the vet gave her a quick check over and said he can't feel a tumour. I phoned the Birmingham petsearch and Mary got back to me just after 10pm.
She has a mainly white cat on her books, lost from Aston (7 miles away) last december with no ears and a splodge of black on her back.
Wouldn't it be nice?
Anyway, lost cat is called Lady, so whatever the outcome that is now this ones name. If not claimed Lady will be going to Jill next week (and no doubt getting a new name!).
But in the meantime lets keep our fingers crossed!!
