I think you may well encounter Puss's ghost wandering up and down the lane for some while to come, Angie

Just found a photo of the chap taken a few years ago.

Poor old Puss , you turned up as a young stray 16 years ago and have been with us ever since. We called you Puss as we were sure you would be reclaimed but you never were and by then the name had stuck...

Puss loved to roam up and down the lane and was until the last year or so, an alpha cat in the area.
Because you claimed the lane as your own I had always said that when your time came , we would not bury you but cremate you and scatter your ashes in the garden so that you could continue to wander around the areas you so loved.

You loved to sleep in odd places and couldn't pass a piece of furniture without leaving a bit of yourself so you will stay with us in so many ways. You even liked to get at us if we ignored you when sitting on the loo and manys the time I had to change clothes until you taught me that I had to fuss you or else!

RIP lovely lad and Spray hard at the Bridge.
