Alice drives us crazy at times with her loud meowing - it is 10 x as loud as a regular one. Also, we think Clapton is showing signs.

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

I agree with JS, its very hard work and Kocka was like this for the last 6 months of her life.

It's hard work, Angie. Carrie (Old Mog) was diagnosed with it about two or three years ago and my partner and I both feel we need a holiday due to her constant crying. She's not in pain, just confused but doesn't remember you consoling her so it's really full on. Doesn't mean I don't love her, but she does try my patience a lot.

I think my puss is suffering from this.
He needs to go back to the vet soon as he has been on felimazole for a week now.

He has started sleeping downstairs now, still crying on and of, still not sure as to any degree of deafness/blindness but somethings off and today he has just been pacing all over the house, back and forth like a lion at a zoo. He's always been a sprayer but has taken a liking to the armchair in the back of the room and it is soaked and I'm have to mop up puddles on a regular basis.
He is 16 now.

I think a vet visit earlier rather than later this week.

Thanks Lynn. :) I have read it before, but it doesn't hurt to read it again - it's possible I've missed something important. (I've read so many articles on this and diabetes in cats they're starting to blur!)

funnily enough it was JS i had foremost in my mind.  I'm sure she'll have read the info on fab but i thought that was a new bit of research they have found or atleast proven.

Quite interesting anyway.

Thanks very much Lynn, cos i dont think most will have seen this and it sounds so like Kocka in her last couple of years, especially the last.

I am sure that Jacksprat will also be very interested, especially in this link that came from yours

http://www.fabcats.org/owners/elderly/senility.html

Whether it will help her shouting cat if she shows it to her vet, I dont know but I do hope so.

I have to say that Franta is 14 and is getting more and more clingy and louder although part is just his love of attention but when reading about birmans they do not seem to live to great ages on the whole, so I am watching him closely although he was health checked in July.

I will add these links to our health ones, behind the links button above the posts people.............just in case you have never looked there  ;D
