There are a few different threads running. One of them says that Angie is going to take Portia.

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

lisa has already posted that CP have offered to help with transport.

If this is an ongoing process then Lisa will have to decide what is best in Portia's interest.

Could anyone help with transport maybe? This seems to be the issue and the main concern at this point to everyone is surely Portias deteriorating state.

whereabouts is she?
Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

I have offered to take Portia in, but she will need signing over to us.
This sort of problems can cost huge amounts to sort out, I know our local CP had a young Ragdoll that had similar problems and they fed it turkey/rice for months. Eventually, another rescue stepped in to take him from them - one with breed experience and knowledge of such cats.

Angie,  I am so pleased,  I was just in the middle of sending you a PM about it.   Keep us updated xxxx

Hi Lisa,  I am sorry to hear about Portia and you having to rehome her,  that cant of been an easy decision for you to make,   I notice on CatChat you have posted that she is now not eating,   you really really need to get her to the vets as soon as possible,  it is quite urgent if she isnt eating,  is she drinking OK ?  in this heat she will probably need to drink a lot more than she normally does.   Also please please dont take another kitten yet until things are sorted (i noticed your post on here saying you were looking for another cat/kitten),   they all cost money and need vet treatment and sometimes it can be very unexpected,  one of my cats had an infection and literally got sicker and sicker by the hour,  we ended up rushing her to the vets at 10PM which was a £150 call out charge before they had even given her any treatment,  she was an otherwise healthy cat that had picked up an infection that literally would have been fatal had we of waited much longer to get her treatment.  I know it is hard when you see posts for kittens looking for homes,  they all have really sad stories and you want to take them all and look after them,  but we just cant help all of them out there.  I wish you loads of luck homing Portia,  but I would stick with Rosie for a while as a single cat,  let her recover from her operation and see how things go in the future re another cat/kitten.

Because she is eating and drinking well , the vets said she is ok till tommorow  :)

Thats good news,   I dont know what you can do about containing her rather then what JS suggested about putting a catch on the door.   It is awful when you are following round a cat with the squits.  xxx

Lisa,  is there anyway you could get her to the vets today ?,  or will the vets come out to you ?,  I am not sure if they charge extra for that ?  I really think the quicker you can get her to the vet the better as she doesnt seem to be getting any better.   I am nowhere near you so cant help with the pen/cage,  but sending you loads of

Ahhh. OK - go to a local DIY shop, and get a small but effective little catch. Put the catch out of reach of the kids..... ;) Any holes that are left are generally very small and easily filled in.

Nowhere near Lisa, sorry. Any room you could confine her to to minimise the mess? (I've had a long haired cats get the squits here, I know how messy it can get!)
