Hi, I joined CC ?almost 2 years ago, when we found our tiny 6 week old Kami under a bush in our garden. ? I haven't posted much but have always enjoyed reading the posts and especially looking at the pics. ?I've picked up a lot of useful info too. ? Very sorry CC had to shut down (hopefully not for long) :)

Hi everyone,
What a shock this morning!! Not been on for a while - work commitments - and very sad to see CC forum no longer running.  You guys were fab when I got my 2 babies, they are 5 months old now, you helped make decisions on all aspects of being a new mum!!! :ok:
I didnt post as often as I should have done, but that didnt mean I was reading and taking in points raised on the forum.  So thanks again, and hope to chat more often on here. xxx

Hello I am Chrissie and posted a few times on Cat Chat.  Love the emoticons and hopefully this forum will become as busy and interesting as the CC one (if it isn't already) .  I have one cat now, Dragan, he is 16 and has a slight heart murmur and pancreatitis.  I lost my 17 year old dog Pepsi in Jan 2005, my almost 18 year old cat Madison in April 2006 and my 18 year old cat Guinness in September 2006.  Not a good two years.

Hi there

I was a lurker on CC after having been a regular on CC. The peeps who were on around the same time as me and me chatted way too much, and over loaded the CC server...and kept making it go off line :shy: So we went onto another forum, Katnip, to continue the chat. I still came over to read CC, but rarely posted.

I was so shocked to hear CC had gone. The support i had off the peeps on there when i lost my Spyro? was amazing and helped me loads.

This forum is fab! I am so glad there was some where you could all go to...and still be together. I am still lurking :shy: , but will post when i get chance.

Hope CC comes back soon though :(

A little bit about me. I have 4 cats. Sooty, Joey, Jack (who i had off DD) and Harry. Plus a hubby, plus 2 kids. Qiute the houseful!

Hi to my mates from CC. Lovely to meet you all here after the trauma of yesterday.
I first found CC when my Pepper went awol last May for 17 days. I got so much support there, and by the time she was found, I was hooked.
That's my Pepper on my avatar (if I've done it properly!).
I have 3 furry babes, Pepper, Squeak (all black) and Chips (black & white). Pepper and Squeak are 5 years old and are brother and sister, Chips is 3 years old and the naughtiest boy on the planet. That's why I adore him.

Hello Peeps!

Jasmine (Chat-de-fleur) from CC.

Thank you to Tan & Gill for providing this forum at such short notice.
I have to say I'm looking forward to the Christmas Auction, will sort out some items this weekend.

My niece is currently studying to become a teacher in Brighton, she loves cats too, maybe when she qualifies and settles down,
she might consider rehoming one of Ron's waifs and strays!

Off to have a cyber wander now...

Hello everyone, I'm Mike and was on CC although I hadn't posted much of late and I am active on the Hovel forums. We have two cats Molly aged 3 and Charlie aged 1.
I will post some piccies later when I know I'm using the site correctly.
I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death you're right to say it.

Hello!

I joined catchat recently after my cat Josie was injured and later on passed away. All the kind words meant a lot to me. Josie looked like a British Shorthair (see avatar) and had the personality of a Ragdoll. She passed away at the age of 5 and is dearly missed.

My new bundle of joy is a 12 weeks old Ragdoll:

About me: I'm originally from The Netherlands but am living with my wife Kate in New York. My wife is a real animal lover: besides the kitten we have a pure white Siberian Husky named Toby, a snake and a 15 gallon fish tank.

Mark

Hi Mark,

So glad you managed to find us again.  I followed your thread on Josie and tried to mail you to let you know we were all on the move!

All the best and looking forward to seeing lots of pics of your new furbabe ... she's gorgeous.

dawn that did occur to me for the peeps who have more than most but maybe even the main ones, its just a good recognition beside your name

ie charlotte has miss boopy NFC and peeps would remember oh yeah thats her and she's got bilbo and tigger too  & Desley has put her two permanents on or they'll see mine with cody and think thats right and she's got the black cat sebastian etc etc (altho i now added the other two boys an all)

of course perhaps not everyones memory is as shocking as mine !!

Hi
I was a new member of CC and posted a few times.
We were lucky enough to get two gorgeous cats (Mittens and Moppet) from Paws Inn recently.
We also have a Dobermann called Dizzy who is a bit Dizzy LOL and a Budgie called Sammy who so far seems to be surviving the cats!? Mittens and Moppets favourite slave is my four year old daughter Olivia who they instantly loved!

Hi all

I didn't post much on Cat Chat, but I'll still miss it, so I thought I might be a little more active. Avatar shows my baby, who's now just over 2 years old but still thinks he's a kitten and is currently in a bit of a loving mood since we have a foster family in (we're providing a little emergency fostering for local CP branch).

Hiya Bod

Yes i am still feel very upset about CC. I hope they get a new forum up soon in the new year. I miss it after being there since Fen 04 not as long as you but it has becaome a big part of my life.
This site will only be tempory until that happens and the main reason creating this was to hold the christmas Auction to Raise money for a wonderful man who dedicates his days and nights to the lost and hurt cats in Brighton. I hope you can join us over on the auction board when it starts next thursday.
Thanks for joining

Lynn brought up a very good idea :-)

We can put our cats' names under the avatar.

1. Click your name or find 'profile' on top of the page below 'search'

2. In the left handside, under 'Modify Profile', click 'Forum Profile Information'

3.then you can upload your own picture and put your cat's name in 'Personal Text'

Okay, it took me ages to figure this out :-)? :P

I don't think they'll be enough room for all mine on there  ???  ;D

Good work in setting up the forum, I know how much time they take to do well - so thanks and well done!  ;D

V sad to see CC close the forum, but these things happen, the forum was always really a sideline to the main purpose of CC.
I've been a CC member for around about 4/5 years, my username there was Bod, and me & Mrs Bod live in London and have a pride of 7 furry's all indoor mogs and all delightful (but I'm biased!) Boo is 12 going on 3 and is the boss cat, he is black & white, Kali, 7 is all black and seems to think she is a princess, Pebbles is white and black and likes snuggling under the duvet with us, then you have the kids Tigger is a big tabby boy that meows like a baby, Mischief is a tabby girl who doesn't say much but is very cute, Perry is white with a grey tabby patch on his back and is a real lap cat and finally Homer who is big ginger and loud with his purrs and his meows - they are all 2.

I don't often get the chance to post much on forums these days, but I have added this site and the Hovel to my favourites and will look in whenever I can.

Thanks you again to those involved in setting this up, and please remember everyone, visit CC regularly to support them in anyway you can.  ;)
