Try not to worry. I know it's hard (speaking from experience) but it has to be said cats do seem to bounce back from neuters or spays quite quickly.

Ask you vet to use glue and stitches under the skin and then she probablly wont even need a "lampshade" which is a lot less stressful for Rosie (and you) the healing time is a lot quicker too.

Here's a good tip for you, when she comes out of her op she will probably have a lamp shade on to stop her licking the wound...try your hardest to keep this on her for at least 5 days....better than having to take her back in to get re stitched!

Spays are pretty routine - doesn't stop you being nervous, but it's unusual for there to be any complications.

Rosie is getting spayed on next wednesday , I cannot belive her previous owner never had her done just because she is a housecat

Will she be ok when she comes home ?
