Oh! dear, I have been using them for about 20 years and the only time I have had any spilt is when I   :) have tried to put the on with too much water in.

Has the B/W one a ‘sticky out tooth’ or is it just an optical illusion on my part. I once had a grey cat brought  in who had a tooth stuck out.

mmmm can't say I can see a tooth in the pics Ela but no, her teeth are fine.  We do however have a black cat at the moment whose incisors hang down like colby's did... very sweet.

We have used the hook on bowls in the past but found we ended up with just about as much mess as they still knocked it whilst playing.  thanks for the mention though Ela as others may not be aware.

Bless them.

Just thought I would mention than when we use the dog crates (we have loads) for emergencies, for water I have those pots that can hang on the side so it does not take up valuable floor space and the cats can't tip it over. I know some of the steel ones can seem quite expensive for a rescue but you can get plastic ones like half moon shape and they are very effective and cheap.

These girls are beginning to settle much better now.  Felix is much more out of her shell than the other Shadow but we reckon when we get room to spread them out a bit we will be able to bring on the confidence of Shadow.

Got some piccies for you all tonight;  By the looks of things both of them are suffering from flea allergy which has obviously gone untreated and thus caused hair loss, scabbing and sores.  felix is actually the worst of the duo I'd say.  They are such adorable little cats and with some TLC and reassurance they will be great little cats.

Here are some piccies for you.

these 2 little one's are a doing OK.  Felix is a little better today and is happy for you to pet her head, at times.  :shy:

Shadow on the other hand is not very confident at all and is still very stressed out, terrified and unsure about the whole thing the poor wee soul.  :'(  >:(

We have got a bit of a better look at Felix today and she is on the thin side and covered in scabs almost everywhere which are suspiciously like those of Maya who we had last year that were caused by stress.  Time will certainly tell.

We have made a decision to give these 2 new names and a fresh start that they truly deserve.  Must try and get some piccies of them for you tomorrow whilst it is light as I don't want to use the flash and scare them at the moment.  Felix is being a little braver than her mother for the moment.

Its the little look in their eyes that just breaks my heart.  But hopefully that sadness will be replaced with a happier expression soon.

These poor babes 'owners' obviously have no consience whatsoever, so they are better off away from them, that's for sure.

Fingers crossed they recover quickly from their ailments

I cant believe how callous and thoughtless people truely are, i know we have the credit crunch but to just dump these 2 beggers belief, at least they had the decency to let you know they were there and not just dump them somewhere, hope they are okay

kinda my sentiments exactly today Angie... totally :censored: off with the way humans treat their so called pets.

Thankfully these 2 little un are here and safe now but what if we'd been further away!!!??   as it was we got to them within 10 - 15 mins but still... I'd just hate to think of them sitting there for longer.

No wonder we all turn into people haters.

people take rescues for granted all the time - endless space when they get bored of their cats, endless money when their cats fall ill and they can't be bothered to get the proper treatment with one excuse or another. And of course no thanks and no listening to advice, however nicely put, which means that quite often, a few months down the line, they are in exactly the same predicament - but hey, thats OK , there's always a rescue to sort them out.....

As always, its a shame the people cannot be neutered along with their pets (that is after a couple of litters of course >:() - but hey - that might not be such a bad compromise!

 :mad2:

Cretins but at least these two will be cared for now even if they have to take it in turns to exercise!

If you can't afford or can't be bothered to look after an animal for its life then don't  :censored: get one! (just going off to find those razor blades )

We had just popped out to pick up a cat in a bad way (will post in another thread) and mid way back we got a phone call from a witheld number to tell us that there were 2 cats in a box at our front door.    Us being situated on a busy main road we knew the cats would be  :censored: terrified so we put the foot down and got back as soon as we could to find 2 adult cats crammed inside a small cat carrier.   :'(

1 of them  a lovely black cat was suffering with what looks like the start of conjunctivitis and the other, a black and white cat that only has 1 eye and has very painfull looking sores all over her back, sides and back legs.

This was also followed by an email from said 'friend' of the so called 'owner' who informed us of their ages and that they were left because:

"she was getting rid of the cats was because they didn't look right"   :censored:   :censored:   :censored:   :censored:   :censored:   :censored:

Turns out the black and white girl is the daughter of the black cat but we have no idea how she came to lose an eye.  We have sent a reply asking for the information.

I have been so dimayed at humans this week and this just tops it all off nicely!  >:(    Not to mention the fact that we were already bursting at the seams and we had bent over backwards to make space for 2 cats due in today.  Those now combined with these 2 little lovelies dumped at our door and the emergency we have just collected we are now like sardines in a tin!!!   anyone got a tin opener!
