Glad you have managed to get one female spayed, one less to reproduce.
Please spay your cat

I read Sally's email wrong. What it was, when she phoned at 1pm, they had already spayed the cat  :-[

So it sounds like this was the original cat that had the kittens - so even though we only got one, it was a good one as she was likely to be in heat again soon  :)

Does that mean they had to open her up to find that out Mark?  :scared:

Well this is odd - apparently, the cat is a girl but was already spayed  - unlikely the sort of person that would spay would dump their cat so she must have got lost? - she is only young - 1 year old max.

We only got one today an that was in the first 1/2 hour. I nipped her/him straight to the vets ready for Angela (pudding) to collect and put back tomorrow. Going by the neighbours descriptions, it sounds like the mum who recently had kittens. The story is, a lovely neighbour was looking after one of the Tom's (we neutered) but he was so friendly, her husband decided to keep him. They have a high fence at the back of their garden but the Tom managed to get all the kittens over the fence - I assumed he knew they would be fed there  :evillaugh: - the 6 kittens are now with Julie. We really hope we have the mum. We gave up in the end as it is blistering today - a lot of the cats live over the other side of a railway fence so we can't get in there. They said the cats are usually around in the evening so Julie is going to work out a plan.

Good idea and would save petrol!  :evillaugh:
I have to go to Caroline's for the traps anyway so just around the corner from Margaret's house. Is the van insured for anyone to drive? - the only issue is the fact that I haven't driven anything other than my own car for years. I will phone Julie. It also might help with curtain twitchers if we have an official van?

I will give Julie a call and see what she thinks.

Ooooh, Good luck!!!  Hope all goes well  :)

A thought, pee runs off bingbags  :tired:  Old newspaper and a bin-bag to chuck it into later ?

Ive just used diluted biological washing liquid to wash/scrub-down a path that had fox poop all over it, plus cleaned an area by the main front door where a roaming tom cat had left his calling card  :tired:

It really does seem to shift smells (It also worked when someone threw up in the back of my friends car ....)

Does it really work?

I use it for indigestion - the herbalist over the road sells it by the kilo (£2.50) luckily  :evillaugh:

I think this is the first of a few trip to deal with quite a large colony. A deal has been done with one of the vets (Companion Care in PAH) who have agreed a good price and won't charge boarding. Hopefully with Julie's experience we will catch plenty! - Sharon said the Belgian vet  is very helpful and experienced with ferals so the signs are looking good. They have 6 vets on site so hopefully it will go smoothly. It's my first proper time as the other times I went with Julie, I didn't see any - although when Julie went back, she got them all except one which was caught recently and done  :)
