We went out for a stroll this afternoon, across the playing fields where we often walk. On these walks we often stop and chat to cats in peoples front gardens.
Today, though, was a little different .....
As we walked around the edge of the field, we had a feeling we were being followed ......
At first we couldn't see anyone or anything behind us.
Then, in amongst the tall grass, we spotted a waving tail and out jumped Mr Socks.
He is a lovely black and white fellow, not very old, well cared for (collar indicates name, address and that he is chipped
) We have met him before, but always in his garden.
He continued to follow us.....
We had intended to go and get a spot of shopping, but we didn't really want to try crossing any roads with our little friend "in tow"
In the end, we picked him up (had a lot of cuddles) and walked him back to his garden.
We were finally "set free" when a couple of dog walkers appeared and Mr Socks took one look and decided we were complete traitors to the feline species.
He waved a fluffed up tail and left us to it!!
So, about half an hour late, we went off to fetch our shopping
