Shelly our hyperactive puss cat Canterbury CP Kent REHOMED!
« Reply #1 on: June 02, 2009, 08:41:29 AM »
Shelley came into our care in very sad circumstances, as her previous owner was homeless and could no longer look after her. Shelley came into our vets to be checkecd out and we found out that she was very underweight and obviously not spayed. So we got her spayed, and then gave her a few weeks to settle into one of our fosterers pen.

Shelley is a baby really only about 6months old and a very unusual colour as she is chocolate coloured with her white markings. Shelley has had quite an eventful life and it shows in her hyper activity. She is ALWAYS on the go and is always looking for people to be with her. She has put on weight since coming into care and has blossomed but her character has not much changed. She is not a puss that will sit on your lap but she will wind her body round your neck and give chin rubs and affection. She does not particularly like being picked up and is really a total fidget. We think this behaviour is more akin to her missing out on being giving affection and cuddles when young and thus she is totally overwhelmed now that someone is taking notice of her. She is a very "in your face" type of cat but we hope that in time once she gets abit older and matures abit and realises she has a stable home she may calm down.

Therefore Shelley needs a home where someone is around most of the day, she also needs someone to spend time with her. She would be fine with sensible children and even with another cat that was of a laid back character. We do not know how she would cope with dogs, it would be more of a gentle introduction and some dog breeds would be better suited to her personality then others.

She does need outside access, althoug from her companionable attitude we doubt she will go far. She does not seem to be stressed with busy hectic lives and is generally a lovely family puss cat if you can put the hours in to make her character more settled.

She will get under your feet.

She has tonnes of personality and we all lover her to bits here!

Shelley has been vac, spayed and chipped.

Pls fill in an adoption form from the Homepage of our website if you are interested in finding out abit more about Shelley.
In the care of Canterbury CP, Homechecks are required and if you are outside our area a homecheck will need to be arranged with another CP branch or rescue.
Donations: We rely on donations to continue our work, please consider giving a donation if we assist in the rehoming of a cat, or if you adopt a cat from us
