My little monsters darlings are the other way round, they eat most of it and just leave me the head  :sick:  I think they must be mafioso cats.

Oh I have walked into Harry (my hunter) with a mouses tail slipping down his throat, just like a snake  :shify:

Have also just came across birds eyeballs ect  :sick:

The worst was a baby wood pigeon- Harry had caught it killed it  :tired: took a wing off, then left it alone. Said bird was disposed of and the next day when I went outside.......Lyla was just sat there chewing on its head  :sick:  :sick:

 :evillaugh: i can laugh now cos I was so omg, but wernt funny at the time  :(

I guess he has probably eaten it ......  Its probably a special kitty-delicacy in his opinion  ;)

Perhaps he favours decapitation as a quick-kill method .....

When I had outside cats they would bring in prey and you could tell who had left what by the remaining pieces. 

Pixie never ate mouse-heads  :Crazy:

Lucky never ate the tails  :shocked:

Pixie chewed legs off to disable her prey  :sick:

Gizmo never killed anything deliberately - any intact mouse that had been drowned in dribble was one of his ... :tired:

Yes, they definitely eat the head, sorry gross  :sick: - but for them, it is the best bit LOL! So much goodness in one little package!

one of mine always eats his pray - I've seen him eat a whole mouse and found a birds wing on my carpet only the other day!

Hi

I am hoping that somebodyout there can shed some light on my Alfie's recent behaviour. He is 2 years old and an outdoor cat. He has always been a bit of a hunter and with us backing onto woodlands we would quite often come home to find a variety of "presents" in various states of dis-repair! I am well aware that hunting is a natural instinct and although I don't enjoy the presents I understand that there is not much that we can do to stop it (he already has a bell by the way). However, recently I have come home to find the presents headless (usually birds) with no sign of the head anywhere. Can anyone explain this - what happens to the head - surely he hasn't eaten it?!? There are signs that the presents are live when he brings them into the house so he must actually go out of his way to take the head back out of the house (if he hasn't eaten it). Any ideas?
