Good luck!! :)

Oh, and one of mine is crossed with something exotic. ;) The vet confirmed my suspicions on our last visit that Sprattley is part oriental. :) (In her experienced opinion, of course!)

Well, number two arrives, or well, I pick up on Thursday. So the little mans room (which he hasn't really gone near since being given run of the house) will become Milo's room for the settling in period. She is also used to other cats so we'll see how we go.

She's a 1 1/2 year old grey tabby, believed to be a chinchilla x but then everyone (not purrs peeps of course ;)) claims their cat is crossed with something more exotic than plain old domestic! She just can't seem to find a home during the very long kitten season we are having here and they'd like her to go to a "home" until she finds a forever home rather than being cooped up as is the present arrangement.

Wish me luck!

As long as you have somewhere separate so that things can be done gradually, and stopped if he does show signs of being upset, then you should be fine - and just because he is fine with one cat doesn't mean he will be the same with others, cats can be very weird like that.

Got all that covered Desley. I'm generally being given hand me downs that are needing somewhere quieter than their existing fosterers. My concern was for the little guys nose being put out of joint and ruining the progress we've made but it would seem (although you can never be sure with cats as we all know) that it would be moving a new human in that would bother him, not a new cat!

You would still need to be able to isolate them, even if your current foster cat seems fine with other cats - partly in case newbie is harbouring anything, and she might not be as friendly as he is.

See what sort of reaction you get in the linen basket first ... But sounds like he is well happy with other cats, so maybe another, more confident little girl will help bring him out of his shell ... especially if she is used to being around people ...

Well, thanks to my neighbour (who I haven't seen for quite a few days) my question has been answered. The little boy is less than bothered by him and ran up to say hello. The neighbour is less impressed and they are having some stern words but there is no fighting :sneaky:

So other cats are quite welcome as far as my little charge is concerned!

I'm debating whether to say yes or not.We are coming on leaps and bounds with the little man but I don't know whether another kitty would set us back or improve things or just keep it the same.

The other one is an older little girl, lived with another cat, family moving overseas and haven't found anyone suitable to take her on. She is shy but quickly comes round.

I don't know what to do for the best.

Thoughts please!
