Has anyone ever used Silent Roar?

I'm aware of that, MM. I'm just not sure how to approach the issue; I have no idea what sort of people they are apart from knowing they shut both the dog and cat out fairly frequently. This doesn't strike me as people that will be overly concerned, although I could be wrong.

I noticed earlier their garden would really easily be cat proofed and it's not particularly tiny. (It would be much easier that cat proofing ours which would need considerable amounts spent on making fences high enough etc.)

Toms are the most persistant of creatures, if he doesnt go missing then getting them to neuter him is the only way he will stop offending your others. Even if you dont see him doing it he will still be causing upset

I can't encourage him in MM, it makes my lot miserable when he's anywhere near. And no offence, but they come first.

He will soon learn to visit when your not looking, its like stopping a cat from getting on worktops you never stop them you just dont see them.
Id encourage him in, if he chooses to leave home and they notice and come round for him you can suggest neutering would stop him visiting he would be less offensive to your lot then

If theres one thing iv learnt about cats it is you cant stop them doing what they want without being mean  good luck

I'm almost certain not with the ginger lad - he sprays a lot if he is. He could just be a bit of a lad, though. I truly do feel sorry for him (moreso than the lad across the road, although I'm not entirely happy with how he's treated either) but I can't really do much - any suggestions that have nothing to do with stealing him are welcomed!

What a shame if he went missing. As you are the chosen ones you will have a struggle to deter    he must be desperate if he is risking your lot to have some time in  Is he neutered?

Both owned.....by people who have no cat flap and are of the "cats can look after themselves" variety. Both cats overall look OK, although a little on the skinny side in my opinion. (And the ginger guy has a big cut on his head where Sprattley let him know that he wasn't welcome before I managed to diffuse the situation.)

Have you tried attaching a paper collar to him to find out if he's stray or owned? If he's stray then he'll take priority for Cp to take him and get him a lovely new home. I know how hard it is- we recently had Oscar (now on cats needing homes page with his bro Toby) who desperately wanted to live with us but it didn't go down well with my boys!
If he has a home then as long as they are caring owners there will probably be something you can work out with them.

Thank you! We have a ginger cat desperate to move in. He's even made it into the house a few times before all heck breaks loose! The black and white lad across the road sits on the outside windowsill banging to come in too.

Is it like 'Lion roar' which is essentially lion poop? If so, my nan has used it with fairly good results to deter the neighbour's cats from pooing on her lawn. (She's 85 and it really is a struggle to clear it up although she loves looking at the cats)
The thing she found most effective was a metal cut out of a black cat which has reflective eyes. You can buy them in garden centres and both her and her nexr door neighbour have found it's cut down the problem. The bonus is as well that your own cats will be around it to get used to it and it won't scare them after a while where as it does put off other cats.

I'm trying to think of ways to encourage a cat to stay away from our garden. Just wondering if anyone had tried it?
