that's very good news, Stuart - sounds as if they are going to a home similar to that they have known for so long, which is great at their age

sadly there will be no shortage of cats needing homes for you to consider (though not sad for the lucky ones who come to you eventually

only found this out yesterday, Good news!! these two elderly ladies will have a forever home

Jan could not get hold of the woman who was mentioned in the letter, but has been in touch with a retired lady, who is more
than willing to give these two their Forever home

So glad that everything has worked out for these two, and although I feel slightly disappointed that they wont be coming to
stay with me ( some things just ain't meant to happen ) But it now means that I will be able to take on two other needy furbabes
who deserve some TLC and give them that illusive forever home

Misty and Hamish will always be there in your heart and never forgotten.

When i lost my DD in December 2006 to cancer, i was devastated

It all happened so fast and i just wanted my little girl back

I had no support from any one and didnt know what to do i started looking in all the rescues in London to see if i can find a torti girl looking like my DD

I still had my Boy here with me so the house wasnt empty, but i wanted DD back and couldnt think straight.
It was in February just before my birthday that i was looking on line in Wood green animal shelter that i came across Jim

I remember clearly it said Jim is a 17 years old cat which is slightly deaf and has been in wood green for 4 years, loves other cats and to me that was enough to know , Jim was coming home to live with Boy and me

I collected Jim on my birthday(Best b.day present ever) and even though he wasnt a healthy cat and did not look anything like my DD but the moment i saw him i fall in love . Jim was old with a heart of gold. Sadly he was with us for only 4 short months but i am soooo glad that he came to live with me and Boy. It broke my heart when i had to let him go but he was the boss here and he loved every minute of it and that is what is all about, to give an older cat to have the chance to be happy and loved.
I do hope it works out for you with Zoe and Heidi.

It was a Hard decision, but I do kinda hope it will end up in my favour
Although I'm still upset about losing Misty, and Both He and Hamish will Never be forgotten
the House right now Is sooo empty, so much so it's quite unbearable

but since learning about Zoe and Heidi, I just couldn't stop thinking about them, Just the
thought of these two old Girls who have known one to one attention and Love all their days
to end up being placed in a cats Home and left on the shelf, didn't even bear thinking about
when I said that to Jan, she did say; " That would not be an Option "

it's just a waiting game now, and see what the outcome Will be

and if you do adopt them we brought Byron up here from London just over 2 years ago and she was fine all the way, she's about 25 now and is still on no medication touch wood so ya never know!

OK, OH and I had another long Talk about Zoe and Heidi, and have came to a decision ( I won

)
If there Can be no one found to take care of these old Girls, We would take them in..
I phoned Jan to tell Her the Good news, and she was over the moon ( suppose it would be a worry off her mind )
But she has told me that although they are still trying to track down the lady that was mentioned in the letter, She
may also have a couple of gentlemen that could also help out, but she's not 100% yet, one of these guys had to
have His Cat pts about a year ago, but He is still a bit upset about His loss and Jan is not sure if He would be ready
to take on a couple of oldies that may live for another 5 yrs or maybe only live another 5 months ??
Jan did say they are Both in excellent health, but also stated at their age if they were to get unwell they could go
downhill very quickly
The other Person that May be interested is Jan's Councilor, Sadly Jan's Horse "Dennis" which she had, had for over
25 yrs was Put to sleep recently, and she has been finding it hard to come to terms, hence she has been seeing this
councilor during which she has mentioned Zoe and Heidi's plight, He has also shown an intrest in offering them a
home too

and Like I have said, if the worst came to the worst and no home can be found for these two, We would take them

think everything will work out for these furbabes now

I will keep youz updated

a Little Update

These are two 17 year old Girls' ( Sister's ) " ZOE and HEIDI "
their owner passed away just this last Sunday, when Jan Heard the news she immediately thought of Me as My Sister had told her about My
recent Loss of Misty, but Like I say it just feel's too early, plus the distance these two seniors would have to travel

A letter has been found stating that " If anything Happens to Me, a MRS X will take care of Zoe and Heidi "
unfortunately Mrs X no longer stays at the address mentioned in the letter, No one knows where she has moved to, or if Mrs X is still alive ??
these detail's are currently trying to be tracked down

also There is no real immediate rush to get them re-homed

But just incase we cannot find the lady mentioned in the Letter, and You feel you may be able to Help

Still no name's or colours yet, also Trying to contact Jan to find out if there is a time limit on, for how long they can stay in the House

James - the 14 yr old tabby who was rehomed with the help of Canterbury CP & Purrs was from the Ipswich area, so anything is possible for these two!

Both cats are 15 yrs old, unsure of gender.

They are in need of a new home due to a bereavement and are currently in their old home with a friend visiting to feed them. Neither cat is especially bothered about outdoor access, one of them likes a small potter and then comes back in, the other is completely indifferent.

If you can offer them a home, please PM Stuart (Dad to Bridgebabes Hamish & Misty).
