This is Chancer, who is now luckily in our care after suffering a broken pelvis.. He was owned by a couple who amazingly didnt bother to get Chancer to the vets as soon as this happenedd but a whole day later. But which time this mite was in shock.. They were not able to afford the vets bill and our lovely vets.. spent ages with the owners to get them to sign him over to us... They didnt want him going back to them and amazingly they thought if we treated him he would automatically be returned. But OH NO thats not the case.
Chancer is 6months old and doing very well with a few weeks cage rest. He did loose his tail though..
Sadly Chancer isnt the only casualty of people not affording vet bills laterly. In the past month we have had 1 cat losing leg due to RTA, signed over to us due to finances, 2 cat flu cases (they wanted them PTS).. but they turned out not to have cat flu...
All these cases are doing well and being looked after by one of our new fosterers. But I think this last month we must be paying for all our vets salaries for the month.. as we seem to be in there every day!!
