I wouldnt worry about the bones in the fish Robbo - they are only like the bones in the tins of fish for humans, they are cooked under high pressure making them crumbly and perfectly safe.

I remember stoping buying these cos there were bones in, oh and they stunk to high heaven  :evillaugh:

Did you ever find any in the chicken?

I'm tempted to use applaws and natures menu and cut hi life fish out, might keep chicken if I can't find any

Read Messybeast,Robbo... it will open your eyes.  ;)

Yes I know of that stuff... But in this case the food is not being musher or ground etc.... The chicken for eg is 75% chicken breast, 24% water and 1% rice lol same with the named fish, not in a mushed form etc.... With natures menu is like that as its a patĂȘ cooked in the bag

I would love to make my own cat food company :-)

If you're really curious about how cat food is made, Messybeast does a very clear description.  But I'd take it as read that all animal foods meat is mushed and boiled to hell before it gets reformed into those tiny neat little cubes. Any harmful bones won't survive the rendering process. So relax on that worry...  ;)

Well the stuff that this is isn't in them cubes, it's just lumps of fish, 60% fish bits and thats it lol 40% water and jelly.... Look nice I've been tempted to eat myself! Lol

They're fine.  The small bones in fish like salmon are soft and don't cause the problems that larger bones do if they splinter.

The foods are from pouches, specifically by hi life, I was just curious as I didn't know if any of the bones could cause damage......I didn't notice any in the chicken but quite a few in the fish

Found some small bones in a fish based food I fed today, closer Reading it says on fish and chicken variations may contain small bones

Would you class this a no no or ok?

Thanks
